Only supporting the Spanish language, La Gilbertona is a free side-scroller game where you step into the shoes of the titular foul-mouthed character, an elderly woman who must amass $10,000 MXN for a home. With animals running towards the hot-tempered Gilbertona, she must avoid these critters at all costs.

Avoid the animals

In La Gilbertona, the player obtains paper bills in the environment while jumping over cats, dogs, chickens, and pigs. Colliding with either animal results in a game over unless Gilbertona is holding a frying pan, repelling the creatures. Crows flying overhead steal a portion of the titular character’s money. 

Due to a lack of a dedicated button prompt for ducking, Gilbertona won’t be able to avoid crows flying too close to her. The frying pan is also useless against the birds. While pans are obtainable during your run, they are also available for purchase using real-world currency.

Not for children

Overall, La Gilbertona is one of those games that don’t entail a steep learning curve for players. Though the gameplay is fun, it’s important to remember that this title features a foul-mouthed protagonist. Thus, if you have children, installing this game is not recommended.
